History

CONVERGENCE MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATES was established in 1999 as a Proprietorship, providing business consulting services to industry. With the addition of key associates, CMA became a Single-Member LLC in October, 2000, as a business consultancy dealing predominantly in the executive recruitment field but with useful ties to the finance industry, which provided us with a reasonably broad range of commercial service offerings.

With the general business decline associated with the attack on our Country on September 11, 2001, Convergence Management Associates began to experience first hand the downturn in the commercial exuberance of the `90s, related to new hiring, as business began to re-assess what had been relative "boom times" in the years leading up to 9/11.

CMA, clearly, had to react to this change in the corporate climate.

Fortunately, as a small Firm, we were capable of acting with great agility. Within months, we were presented with the opportunity to guide the business consultancy more exclusively in the business sector of finance. For a time, we dealt in the "convergence" of two vitally important resources to business: people (via recruitment) and capital (as a result of our relatively new relationships to global funding channels).

Over time, the recruitment side of the business continued to decline, while the capital side showed increasing promise. By mid-2002, CMA was completely dedicated to the capital side of our business, acting in the capacity of facilitator on behalf of Private International Banks, massive money management groups, as well as billion dollar trusts, funds and Investment Societies around the world.

Having ceased all efforts related to the Executive Recruitment Practice, CMA was now exclusively focused on the expansion of the Capital Practice, which was flourishing.

In January, 2005, CMA formed Convergex Caribbean, Limited - A Nassau, Bahamas IBC, both for marketing purposes and to assist with the capture of International ("Offshore") Client business. Today, our Company has genuinely global reach, as we deal routinely with hundreds of Clients worldwide, guiding them to our International Sources of capital and the billions of dollars these Sources actively seek to invest with our Clients.
